Metropolitan Christmas trees were held in the spiritual and cultural center of Astana

On January 7, 2024, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, children's holidays - Metropolitan Christmas trees - were held in the spiritual and cultural center of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District named after Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius in Astana.лки.

More than 700 children took part in the festive events.

The metropolitan Christmas tree was opened with an opening speech and congratulations by the dean of the Astana church district, Archimandrite Sergius (Karamyshev).

The organization of the festive events was attended by: the clergyman of the Assumption Cathedral of the capital, Archpriest Dmitry Baidek, Priest Sergius Pinigin, Priest Viktor Drozhnikov and employees of the Astana diocesan administration.

A festive atmosphere for children and adults was created by professional artists who presented a Christmas theatrical production to the audience and held a variety of memorable competitions and games.

At the end of the festive performance, each little guest was given a sweet gift from the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan.
