Bishop Ignatius of Aktobe and Kyzylorda met with cadets of the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces T. Ya. Begeldinov

February 9, 2024. In Aktobe, in the assembly hall of the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces T. Ya. Begeldinov, a meeting was held between Bishop Ignatius of Aktobe and Kyzylorda with the leadership and cadets of the educational institution.

The main topic of communication was the prevention of gambling addiction and suicidal tendencies among military personnel.

The event was part of a wider program to support the psychological health and well-being of soldiers.

The hierarch discussed with the soldiers ways to recognize and prevent suicidal tendencies.

During the meeting, an open discussion took place during which soldiers had the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts and experiences.

The organizers of the meeting expressed the hope that such events will help create a more spiritually and emotionally healthy atmosphere in the military environment. The leadership of the military institute emphasized the importance of the common efforts of representatives of the main traditional faiths of the country and qualified specialists in the field of psychology to resolve issues related to the moral and mental state of military personnel and members of their families.

At the end of the meeting, the hierarch was given a tour of the museum in honor of the attack pilot Talgat Begeldinov, opened in 2022. To commemorate the event, His Eminence left an entry in the book for honored guests.
