The museum collections of the memorial house of Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov) have been replenished with another new exhibit

February 23, 2024. Alma-Ata. A working meeting took place between Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan and the rector of the Kazan Cathedral of the southern capital, Archpriest Sergius Khmyrov.

During the conversation, the pastor handed over to the Head of the Metropolitan District a miter that belonged to the confessor of the faith and ascetic of piety of the twentieth century, Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov).

Father Sergius informed Metropolitan Alexander that transferred to the museum miter, the elder saint used during his archpastoral service at the Petropavlovsk pulpit. Before the transfer, the miter was reverently kept by the sacristan of the Kazan Cathedral in Almaty Z.N. Polikova. The miter is embroidered with Czech beads and the icons are made using the Rostov enamel technique.
