Bishop Claudian of Taldykorgan took part in a nationwide tree planting campaign

March 19, 2024. In Taldykorgan, as part of the celebration of Nauryz, a nationwide tree planting campaign took place.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the vicar of the Astana diocese, Bishop Claudian of Taldykorgan, became a participant in the event.

Also taking part in the action were: akim of the Zhetysu region B.O. Isabaev, akim of the city of Taldykorgan E.D. Basil, Priest Alexander Matlashov, Deacon Rustik Yakupov, veterans, employees of budgetary and public organizations, students, as well as leaders of ethnocultural associations, volunteers and representatives of the clergy of the region.

During the environmental campaign, about 500 seedlings of coniferous and deciduous trees were planted.
