The dean of the parishes of Astana, Archimandrite Sergius (Karamyshev), was awarded the Order of Friendship

By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin No. 233 dated April 3, 2024, the dean of the Astana church district, Archimandrite Sergius (Karamyshev), was awarded a high state award.

“For his great contribution to the development of spiritual ties, strengthening friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan,” Archimandrite Sergius (Karamyshev) was awarded the Order of Friendship.

In 2016, the dean of the parishes of Astana, by decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (No. 37 994), was awarded a high state award - the Order of Kurmet (Order of Honor) for the establishment of traditional spiritual and moral values in society and work to strengthen interfaith peace and interethnic harmony.
