In Uralsk, humanitarian aid was provided to flood victims

April 16, 2024. With the blessing of Bishop Vianor of Ural and Atyrau, a collection of humanitarian aid for victims of water disasters in Western Kazakhstan took place from all churches of Uralsk.

 Volunteers of the social department and the city’s believers prepared the necessary sets of food, clothing and personal hygiene products, after which the dean of the Ural Church District, Archpriest Vladimir Garasim and the head of the information department of the Ural Diocese, Abbot Dorofey (Dilmanaev), delivered the collected cargo to one of the evacuation points. Aid continues to arrive and will be distributed as it accumulates.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, things and basic necessities were sent to the Ural residents by the social department of the Alma-Ata diocese.

In the churches of the Ural diocese, prayers for health and strengthening of the spiritual and physical strength of people affected by the water element do not stop.

Around the capital of Western Kazakhstan, clergy carried out a car religious procession with the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the icon of Archangel Michael.
