April 25, 2024. Uralsk Bishop of Ural and Atyrau Vianor took monastic vows at the Transfiguration Cathedral.

The minor schema was received by the head of the department for youth affairs of the Ural diocese, Deacon Viktor Mostovshchikov.

Those who prayed for the tonsure were: Archbishop Anthony (Moskalenko), rector of the Archangel Michael Cathedral of Uralsk, Archimandrite Feodosius (Kuryanov), secretary of the Ural Diocesan Administration, Archdeacon Vasily (Kryukov), Archimandrite Dionysius (Kozulev), head of the information department of the Ural Diocese, Hegumen Dorofey (Dilmanaev), Dean of the Ural Church District Archpriest Vladimir Gerasim, Abbess of the Intercession Monastery Abbess Varvara (Morozova), parishioners of the temple.

The tonsured man received the name Bartholomew - in honor of the Apostle Bartholomew.
