The Commission for Educational Service of the Astana Diocese has begun preparing for a new season of Internet carousels

July 4, 2024. With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Commission for Educational Service of the Astana Diocese (headed by Archpriest Sergiy Kazimirov) has begun preparing events for the new season of the international youth quiz "Orthodox Internet Carousel".

The project website contains a schedule of upcoming intellectual competitions between teams of Sunday schools and youth clubs of the parishes of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District and teams from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the European Union. Teams from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia regularly take part in online competitions.

The Internet Carousel is a team intellectual competition in various subjects in online mode. With the help of the Internet, participants are offered certain tasks to which they must give the correct answer, maintaining a strict sequence of actions. The event time is limited to seventy minutes.

During the school year, Orthodox youth will take part in 11 quizzes, the first of which - "Above the Gospel" - will take place on October 6, 2024.
