Akim of Almaty Erbolat Askarbekovich Dosayev congratulated Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Astana and Almaty diocese of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan and the 35th anniversary of his archpastoral service:

Your Eminence!

I congratulate you and all Orthodox Christians on this significant date – the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Astana and Almaty diocese!

The Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan makes a significant contribution to strengthening interfaith agreement and harmony in our society.

I would like to congratulate you separately on the 35th anniversary of your archpastoral ministry.

As the spiritual leader of the Orthodox Christians of Kazakhstan, you make a colossal contribution to the preservation and strengthening of social harmony.

Under your leadership, the Church has achieved significant successes, including the transformation of the Almaty Theological Seminary, the opening of the spiritual and cultural center named after Metropolitan Joseph, the large-scale restoration of the Ascension Cathedral, as well as the creation of a church and monument to the holy noble prince Alexander Nevsky.

I wish you further success in your ministry, spiritual prosperity and unity among believers! May every day of your journey be illuminated with joy, peace and inner wealth!
