Metropolitan Alexander congratulated President K.-Zh.K. Tokayev on the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan

October 25, 2024 is the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan congratulated the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev on the holiday.

“This day is marked by a significant event in the modern history of the Republic - the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Kazakhstan in 1990. Over the years of independence, our country has formed the most important foundation for the development of the state - conditions for economic growth have been created, national culture, peace and harmony have been preserved. Citizens of Kazakhstan have once again received the opportunity to freely profess their religious views, build temples and mosques, and educate the younger generation in faith. Our country has shown the whole world an example of inter-civilizational, interreligious and interethnic dialogue.

The Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, as before, will contribute to the development of the spiritual and cultural life of our people, the preservation of traditions and the increase of moral values in society.
