Поздравление Главы Казахстанского Митрополичьего округа с Днем благодарности

March 1 is Gratitude Day in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, addressed the people of Kazakhstan with congratulations:

Dear people of Kazakhstan! Dear brothers and sisters!
Please accept congratulations on the special holiday of our country – Gratitude Day!
The content of this holiday, which has already become an integral part of the spiritual and cultural life of Kazakhstani society, is one of the most important human feelings – gratitude for selfless help, support and mercy.
The current celebration is of great importance for all those living on the blessed land of Kazakhstan – it not only awakens good feelings in the souls of fellow citizens, uniting representatives of different ethnic groups and religious traditions, but also turns our eyes to the history of Kazakhstan.
Celebrating Thanksgiving Day, we express our deep respect and sincere gratitude to the indigenous population of the country - the Kazakhs, who showed mercy in the tragic hour of trials and accepted a huge number of repressed settlers as family. Among those exiled to Kazakhstan were many representatives of the Orthodox Church - hierarchs, priests, monastics and laity. By providing assistance to the exiled clergy and believers, the residents of Kazakhstan contributed to the preservation of faith and brought closer spiritual revival throughout the post-Soviet space.
Let the celebration of Thanksgiving Day contribute to the strengthening of peace and harmony, the inviolability of the unity of our people, the unification of society in achieving new noble goals, the main one of which is a fair and prosperous Kazakhstan.

The head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan sent congratulations on Thanksgiving Day to the President of the country K.-Zh.K. Tokayev, the state leadership, parliamentarians, akims of regions and cities.
