May 1, 2025. Nine days have passed since the departure to the Lord of Archbishop Anthony.
Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan celebrated the funeral litiya for the newly departed hierarch in the Iveron-Seraphim house church of the residence of the Head of the Metropolitan District.
Praying at the service were: Acting Rector of the Alma-Ata Theological Seminary, Head of the Information Department of the Metropolitan District Archpriest Yevgeny Ivanov; Head of the Administrative Secretariat of the Head of the Metropolitan District Priest Georgy Sidorov; Head of the Metropolitan's Protocol Service Protodeacon Roman Golovin.
At the end of the litany, His Eminence and the clergy sang the eternal memory, after which Metropolitan Alexander addressed those present with a word in which he gratefully recalled the labors of the late archpastor.
On the same day, Bishop Vianor of Uralsk and Atyrau celebrated the funeral litany in the Transfiguration Church for the newly departed Archbishop Anthony, who was buried at the altar of the church.
The following prayed at the rite: Rector of the St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral in Uralsk, Archimandrite Feodosiy (Kuryanov); cleric of the Intercession Convent in Uralsk, Archimandrite Dionysius (Kozulev); Rector of the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Uralsk, Archpriest Anatoly Robu; Head of the Information Department of the Ural Diocese, Hegumen Dorofey (Dilmanaev); Dean of the Ural Church District Archpriest Vladimir Gerasim; Dean of the Priural District Archpriest Vasily Kroitor; Protodeacon John Roshka; Abbess of the Pokrovsky Monastery Abbess Varvara (Morozova) with the nuns of the monastery; clergy of the churches of the Ural Diocese, employees of the diocesan administration and parishioners of the city churches.
At the end of the service, Bishop Vianor addressed the clergy and the faithful with the words of the sermon.
Flowers were laid at the burial site.
