The annual final diocesan meeting of the Aktobe diocese took place

December 13, 2023. A traditional diocesan meeting was held in the administration building of the Aktobe diocese, at which the results of the year were summed up.

The meeting was preceded by a general confession of the clergy of the diocese and the service of the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral, which was led by Bishop Ignatius of Aktobe and Kyzylorda.

The event was attended by: members of the diocesan council, deans, heads of diocesan departments, rectors and clergy of parishes and employees of the diocesan administration.

Acting Deputy Chairman was elected. Dean of the Aktobe Church District, Hieromonk Cyprian (Dakhno).

The chairman of the church court of the Aktobe and Kyzylorda diocese, the head of the youth department, Archpriest Dimitry Solovyov, was elected secretary of the meeting.

Before the start of the meeting, the secretary of the meeting announced the rules and agenda of the meeting.

Then Bishop Ignatius made a report on the results of the outgoing year. The archpastor presented statistical data on the number of clergy and parishes, the number of services performed and ordinations.

During the work, the participants noted the need to intensify parish life, develop spiritual education, also discussed issues of Sunday schools, construction and restoration of churches and church buildings.

At the end of the meeting, the archpastor thanked those gathered, giving everyone a blessing for their work in the coming year.
