The annual final diocesan meeting of the Ural diocese took place

December 20, 2023. Uralsk In the building of the administration of the Ural diocese, under the chairmanship of Bishop Vianor of Ural and Atyrau, a traditional diocesan meeting was held, at which the results of the year were summed up.

The meeting was preceded by a general confession of the clergy and the service of the Divine Liturgy in the Archangel Michael Cathedral, led by Bishop Vianor.

The event was attended by: Archbishop Anthony (Moskalenko), the rectors of the city churches of the Ural, Aktobe and Priural deaneries, the abbess of the Intercession Convent, Abbess Varvara (Morozova) and employees of the diocesan administration.

Before the start of the meeting, the prayer “To the Heavenly King” was sung. Bishop Vianor, who led the meeting, cordially welcomed all participants in the meeting.

The administrator of the diocese thanked Archbishop Anthony for his efforts in restoring the Ural diocese.

At the annual diocesan meeting, the results of church educational activities and repair and restoration work in the parishes were summed up. The deans of the Ural and Priural church districts made reports.

The heads of diocesan departments summed up their activities over the past period.

The abbess of the Intercession Convent, Abbess Varvara, reported on the construction work carried out in the convent.

His Eminence noted the need to intensify various aspects of parish life and develop spiritual education. The meeting participants discussed issues of improving the quality of teaching in Sunday schools and optimizing construction and restoration work in a number of churches in the diocese.

At the end of the meeting, Bishop Vianor thanked the members of the diocesan council, heads of diocesan departments, deans and rectors for the work done.
