A diocesan meeting of the clergy of the Chimkent and Turkestan diocese took place

December 14, 2023. Chimkent. A diocesan meeting of the Chimkent diocese was held in the Kazan Church under the chairmanship of Bishop Chrysanthus of Chimkent and Turkestan.

The meeting was attended by: deans of church districts, rectors and clergy of churches, heads of diocesan departments and employees of the diocesan administration.

Before the start of the meeting, the acting secretary of the diocese, A. B. Demin, announced the regulation and agenda of the meeting.

Opening the meeting, the administrator of the diocese addressed those present with a welcoming speech. Next, Bishop Chrysanthos presented a report to the audience, in which he spoke about the results of last year and outlined the general plan of spiritual, educational, social and youth activities for the current year.

During the work, the participants noted the need to intensify parish life, develop spiritual education, also discussed issues of Sunday schools, construction and restoration of churches and church buildings.

At the end of the meeting, Bishop Chrysanthos thanked the members of the diocesan council, heads of diocesan departments, deans and rectors for the work done.
