The Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan was congratulated on his birthday by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia

The head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, was congratulated on his birthday by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Nikolaevich Chernyshenko.

The congratulatory address reads:
“On this day, I especially want to note your efforts to preserve the spiritual and moral values of Orthodoxy, the ideals of goodness and mercy. Under your direct leadership, important social, educational and humanitarian programs and projects of the Orthodox Church are being implemented, aimed at educating young people in the spirit of morality and patriotism, developing interreligious dialogue on Kazakhstani soil, and building constructive international ties and contacts.
Thanks to your authority and tireless work, many Orthodox shrines have been restored and new churches are being built.
You set an example of a wise and kind Shepherd who preaches the values of love for one’s neighbor, protection of the family, patriotism and historical truth, peace and harmony in society.”

D.N. Chernyshenko wished the Metropolitan good health, long life, spiritual strength, prosperity and success in his archpastoral labors.
