In 2024, the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan celebrates a historically and spiritually significant date - the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Astana and Alma-Ata diocese. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev congratulated Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan and the Orthodox believers of the country on the occasion:

I congratulate you and, through you, all the Orthodox believers of the country on this significant anniversary - the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Astana and Almaty diocese!

The Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan invariably promotes high humanistic ideals, the spread of goodness, mercy and love for one's neighbor.
The humanitarian and educational activities of the Metropolitan District make a valuable contribution to the development of interfaith dialogue, strengthening the unity and solidarity of our people.
