The head of the Metropolitan District performed Easter worship in the home church of the Otorhinolaryngology Medical Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia

On May 28, 2024, Tuesday of the 4th week of Easter, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan visited the National Medical Research Center for Otorhinolaryngology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia.
The hierarch was met by the director of the institution, Professor Nikolai Arkadyevich Daikhes.

Dyhes is vice-president of the National Medical Association of Otorhinolaryngologists, chief freelance specialist-otorhinolaryngologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, chief freelance specialist-otorhinolaryngologist of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation.
In the house church of the St. Nicholas Medical Research Center, Metropolitan Alexander celebrated the feast of the Holy Resurrection of Christ and performed a prayer service for the sending of God's help to doctors and staff and for the healing of the sick.
The hierarch bowed to the shrines of the temple - icons with particles of the relics of the great martyr and healer Panteleimon, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, St. Luke the Doctor, Archbishop of Crimea, Blessed Matrona of Moscow, the ark with part of the Holy Sepulcher.
After visiting the temple, a conversation took place between Metropolitan Alexander and N.A. Daihes, during which the head of the medical research center shared with the archpastor plans for the activities and development of the institution for 2024.
His Eminence told Nikolai Arkadyevich about the life of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, which this year celebrates the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Astana and Alma-Ata diocese. The hierarch told his interlocutor that as part of the celebration of the memorable date, a famous Orthodox shrine was brought to the Southern capital - the miraculous image of the Queen of Heaven “Healer”. The head of the Metropolitan District emphasized that during the stay of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, more than 30,000 people venerated it.
