Bishop Chrysanth of Chimkent and Turkestan performed monastic tonsure in the Nikolsky Cathedral of the city of Chimkent

The following prayed for the tonsure: the dean of the South Kazakhstan church district, Hieromonk Anthony (Solovyov), Hieromonk Simeon (Yun), Hieromonk Philip (Konovalov) and monastics of the Chimkent diocese.

The tonsured monk received the name Nikolai - in honor of the saint and miracle worker Nikolai, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia.

After the tonsure, the archpastor addressed the newly tonsured monk Nikolai with words of instruction.
