The graduation ceremony of the theological and missionary faculty of the Alma-Ata Theological Seminary took place

July 14, 2024. Alma-Ata. In the Throne Hall of the Spiritual and Cultural Center of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District named after Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov), a graduation ceremony was held for graduates of the Theological and Missionary Faculty at the Alma-Ata Orthodox Theological Seminary.
The ceremonial act was led by the administrator of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Bishop Gennady of Kaskelen.
The event was attended by: Chairman of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Metropolitan District, Dean of the Theological and Missionary Faculty, Archpriest Evgeny Bobylev; clergy of the St. John the Theological Church Hieromonk Gennady (Soloviev) and Priest Alexey Muraev, members of the teaching corporation and students of the theological and missionary faculty, employees of the Alma-Ata diocesan administration.
Opening the ceremony, His Eminence addressed the audience with greetings. In his speech, the archpastor emphasized that this event is an important event for the entire Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, testifying to the development of Orthodox spiritual education in the country. The hierarch cordially congratulated the graduates on completing their studies and wished them goodness, peace and God's help in their work for the good of the Holy Church.
The dean of the theological and missionary faculty, Archpriest Evgeniy Bobylev, also said words of greeting to those gathered.
Then the presentation of diplomas took place. In the 2023-2024 academic year, 19 students of the distance department graduated from the courses of the theological and missionary faculty at the Alma-Ata Orthodox Theological Seminary.
