The management of the art and production enterprise "Sofrino" visited the Representative Office of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan in Moscow

March 17, 2025. Moscow. At the invitation of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Representative Office of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan at the Patriarchal Metochion at the Church of the Holy Martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov and Sophia was visited by the acting General Director of "Sofrino" V.A. Levin and the head of the sales department of the enterprise G.E. Lyapin.

The meeting of the Head of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District with the management of the HPP "Sofrino" was attended by: Vice-Rector of the Alma-Ata Theological Seminary, Candidate of Theology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Hegumen Agafangel (Gagua); the key-keeper of the church of the Moscow Representative Office of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District in the name of the holy martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov and their mother Sophia, Hieromonk Anthony (Drobiazko).

Metropolitan Alexander gave the guests a tour of the church, told them about the history of the ancient Moscow parish and the activities of the Representative Office of the Metropolitan District, created at the Patriarchal Metochion in 2012 with the blessing of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'.

The Metropolitan noted that for two and a half years in the church, which is a monument of culture and architecture of the 19th century and has federal significance, with the support of benefactors large-scale restoration work has being carried out, Metropolitan shared plans for the improvement of the church territory as well as the repair of the buildings and outbuildings of the Representative Office.

During the conversation, Metropolitan Alexander and V.A. Levin discussed the participation of the Sofrino State Agricultural Enterprise in the restoration of the historical interiors of the St. Sophia Cathedral, the renovation of the iconostasis and icon cases, and the restoration of church utensils.
