The youth Sretensky Ball took place in the Petropavlovsk Diocese

On February 29, 2024, with the blessing of Archbishop Vladimir of Petropavlovsk and Bulaevsk, the Youth Sretensky Ball took place in the hall of the Regional Drama Theater named after Nikolai Pogodin in the city of Petropavlovsk.

The event, dedicated to the International Day of Orthodox Youth, was organized by the department of religious education and catechesis and the youth department of the Petropavlovsk Diocese.

Spectators and participants in the festive program were: students of the Orthodox gymnasium named after St. Sergius of Radonezh, students of diocesan Sunday schools and students of the Humanitarian and Technical College.

Before the start of the ball, the head of the youth work department, Priest Anthony Shuvakin, addressed those gathered with a welcoming speech. Father Anthony congratulated everyone on the holiday, and also noted the importance of holding such events that unite young believers and contribute to their aesthetic education.

After this, those present were presented with a concert program with the participation of invited guests: laureates of Republican and International competitions, soloists of the North Kazakhstan Regional Philharmonic Askhat and Dinara Taushev (piano accompaniment - Anna Zatay), a dance group from the S'Avancer choreography school and a student from the school for the gifted children of Petropavlovsk Ivan Opletin.

Pupils of the Sunday schools of the Petropavlovsk and Ascension Cathedrals of the city performed dance numbers. Young artists presented the dating waltz, square dance, polka-troika and Spanish waltz. The dance block was aimed at people poorly familiar with classical dance culture, which allowed everyone to take part in the program.

More than 130 people took part in the gala event.
