A meeting of the diocesan council of the Kostanay and Rudny diocese was held

July 4, 2024. Kostanay. With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a meeting of the diocesan council was held in the administrative and spiritual-cultural center of the Kostanay diocese named after Bishop Timon (Rusanov), chaired by the secretary of the diocesan administration, Hieromonk Gennady (Burduzha).

The meeting was headed by the secretary of the Kostanay diocese, Hieromonk Gennady (Burduzha).

The following took part in the work: Dean of the Kostanay Church District, Priest Andrei Krutin, Dean of the Sarykol Church District, Archpriest Vitaly Kleba, Dean of the Lisakovsky Church District, Archpriest Oleg Kalmykov, Key Bearer of the Constantine and Helen Cathedral, Archpriest Andrei Korchazhnikov, Key Bearer of the St. John the Theologian Cathedral in Rudny, Hegumen Maxim (Boykov).

The meeting of the diocesan council was preceded by a service of prayer for the invocation of the help of the Holy Spirit before the beginning of any work.

Before the start of the work, Hieromonk Gennady announced to the members of the council the agenda of the upcoming meeting concerning current issues of the life of the diocese.

During the meeting, the issues of the stay in Kostanay of the great shrine from the Pokrovsky Monastery of the city of Moscow - the relics of the righteous old woman Matrona of Moscow on October 12-14, 2024, were discussed, and current issues of the activities of the parishes of the Kostanay diocese were discussed.

The members of the council also exchanged views on improving the activities of spiritual and educational work in the parishes, and the current activities of the diocesan departments were analyzed.

At the end of the meeting, Hieromonk Gennady thanked the members of the diocesan council, the heads of the diocesan departments, the deans and rectors for the work done.
