October 27, 2024. The stay of the relics of Blessed Matrona of Moscow in the Taldykorgan Vicariate has ended.

From September 28 to November 10, 2024, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', the boundaries of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District are visited by a great shrine - the relics and part of the robe of the blessed nun Matrona of Moscow, revered by millions of Orthodox believers around the world.

On October 26, the relic was brought to the Church of the Archangel Gabriel in the city of Taldykorgan, where the vicar of the Astana diocese, Bishop Claudian of Taldykorgan, celebrated the Liturgy with the assistance of the diocesan clergy.

On the evening of October 26, the relics of the blessed nun Matrona were brought to the Cathedral of St. John the Theologian, where the all-night vigil was led by Bishop Claudian.

On October 27, the day of remembrance of the holy fathers of the VII Ecumenical Council, His Grace celebrated the Liturgy in the main church of the vicariate.

The bringing of the revered relic of Orthodoxy to the city of Taldykorgan became a spiritual gift to the faithful for the 25th anniversary of the Astana and Alma-Ata diocese and the upcoming 15th anniversary of the approval of the canonical status of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District.
