The stay of the relics of Blessed Matrona of Moscow in the Chimkent diocese has ended. More than 10 thousand people venerated the relic

November 27, 2024. The stay of the relics of Blessed Matrona of Moscow in the Chimkent diocese has ended.

In response to the petition of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, His Holiness gave his Primate's blessing to bring the relics of Blessed Matrona to the diocesan centers for prayerful veneration and spiritual strengthening of Kazakhstanis.

The relic was delivered by Bishop Benjamin of Talgar, Vicar of the Astana diocese.

On November 20, at the celebration day in in memory of the Council of New Martyrs and Confessors of Chimkent, the relics were in the Nikolsky Cathedral, where the administrator of the diocese led the festive service.

On November 24, the 22nd week after Pentecost, the relic was delivered to the Assumption Cathedral in Taraz, where Bishop Chrysanthus of Chimkent and Turkestan, co-served by Bishop Veniamin of Talgar, Vicar of the Astana Diocese and the diocesan clergy.

Throughout the entire time the relics of the saint of Christ were in the churches of the Chimkent Diocese, prayers with akathists to the saint were held.

The public foundation "Apostol" is supporting the delivery of the relic.

More than 10 thousand people venerated the relics of the saint of Christ.
