Diocesan Assembly of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk Diocese

December 13, 2023. Ust-Kamenogorsk. On the day of remembrance of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, in accordance with the Charter of the Russian Orthodox Church, in the conference hall of the spiritual and administrative center of the Ust-Kamenogorsk diocese named after Hieromartyr Alexander (Dagaev), under the chairmanship of Archbishop Amfilohiy of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk, the annual final diocesan meeting of the Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk diocese took place.

The diocesan meeting was attended by members of the diocesan council, heads of diocesan departments, rectors and clergy of parishes, clerics, monastics and employees of the diocesan administration.

In the first part of the meeting, Archbishop Amfilohiy made a report on the life and activities of the Ust-Kamenogorsk diocese in the outgoing year 2023. His Eminence paid special attention to the discipline of clergy and parish staff.

Further reports and presentations were made by: head of the diocesan legal service Lvov V.G. and chief accountant of the diocese Borisova O.A. After the speeches of the main speakers, a number of practical issues related to various aspects of pastoral service and the interaction of the diocese with government bodies were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the Administrator of the Diocese thanked the clergy and staff for the work done during the outgoing year. The meeting ended with a conciliar prayer, after which Archbishop Amphilochius gave God's blessing to everyone present and congratulated them on the upcoming Merry Christmas and the New Year.
