Archbishop Vladimir of Peter and Paul and Bulaevsk took part in the work of the Synodal Commission for the canonization of saints

On January 30, 2024, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', a regular meeting of the Synodal Commission for the Canonization of Saints was held.
The work of the meeting held online, was led by the Chairman of the Commission, Bishop Pankratiy of Trinity.
The meeting was attended by the head of the commission for the canonization of saints of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, Archbishop Vladimir of Peter and Paul and Bulaevsk, who was appointed to the post by the Synod of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan in December last year.
The secretary of the commission for the canonization of saints of the Metropolitan District, Priest Mikhail Berezin, also took part in the event.
During the meeting, the Commission considered the following issues:
• Glorification as saints of the brethren of the Sinozersky monastery killed in 1612: hieromonks Sergius and Abraham, schemamonk Ephraim and novice Vasily and others like them who suffered;
• Inclusion of Archpriest Alexander Khmelkov (+1937) in the list of names of the Council of New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church;
• Inclusion of priest John Leskov (+1938) in the list of names of the Council of New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church;
• Inclusion in the list of names of the Council of New Martyrs and Confessors of the Church of Russian Hope Semyonova (+1938).
