A batch of humanitarian aid collected by the social department of the Alma-Ata diocese was delivered to Uralsk

April 19, 2024. With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the social department of the Alma-Ata diocese collected and sent a large batch of humanitarian aid to Uralsk, which will be given to those affected by the flooding.

In the capital of Western Kazakhstan, a load of food and hygiene items was accepted by members of the Orthodox youth club “Agni Parfene” under the leadership of the dean of the Ural district, Archpriest Vladimir Garasim. Bishop Vianor of Ural and Atyrau arrived to support the volunteers.

With the blessing of the ruling bishop, the social department of the Ural diocese continues to provide assistance to those in need. Volunteers pay special attention to purchasing food packages, bottled water, clothing, household chemicals and personal hygiene items.

The clergy and ordinary believers who participate in eliminating the consequences of river floods, work with evacuated residents of the region in temporary accommodation and provide spiritual, moral and financial support to the victims do not stand aside.

Currently, through the efforts of the Chairman of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan Andrei Zaozerov, the General Director of the Uralsknews website Inessa Toboleva and the chairmen of gardening partnerships, lists of people in need are being formed for the distribution of assistance.
